About me (If you ask my friends they might challenge my descriptions of ME…Never mind)
Me,
I try to describe “ME” honestly; you Better not to trust the honesty of this description because I didn't take oath of honesty while writing it.....
PhD student, lecturer, Fulbrighter, member of toastmaster club (You may add knolers if you like more spice…though I have already spiced it a lot ….woooooof),….. abuses his brain by thinking a lot (ouch!), finding it free of any charge and always available, ………have worn out his finger tips by writing a lot (ouch!),……… has weaken his eyes sight by sitting long hours in front of computer screen (Noch noch),…….. Some early morning go running (if got no idea),…….. Likes to wear casual dresses (Don’t have the patience for shopping and doing laundry…needs to be pushed),…….. loves creative works either in sciences, philosophy, literature, arts or psychology and sea food (yummy), ……….likes to take a nap at mid-day- though time is not kind to him- (~lazy~) legitimizes his act by saying that Einstein was sleeping 9.5 hours a day (Zing!),………. Does a lot of experiments with cooking (the only one who eats his cooking is himself, so no worries)……., believes that Allah gives ten times for each good deeds so tries to score a lot (Pitifully Greedy), ………….believes to not hurt any heart (Doesn’t care much about his own heart; shameful), ………..Reacts forcefully to injustices (Calm down man, you are not judge), ………..Deeply loves nature (The lure of field trips attracted him to Geology; He just boasts and I don’t think he has the stomach to spent five years on HMS Beagle as Charles Darwin did),………. Likes open and grassy places and rivers (But needs protection from sunlight….his skin burns fast as thin papers have shown the matches), ……………Loves listening Indian music (He got some good neighbors that tolerate his loud music; It is predictable that someday, someone might lose his temper and break his laptop for playing nonstop music),………….. Believes in humanity (not sure that where apes cultures end and human’s begin… But can’t blame Jane Goodall, Edward O. Wilson and Charles Dawkins for this obscurity),………… Believes in spirituality (Got tired of religious hatred, discriminations and bloodshed),…………. believes that all nations whether small or large should have their own free homeland (UN assembly have space for more than a thousand nation…and it is not big a deal to make it more spacious and diverse…Got five stars for this notion),……. Doodles a lot (and then tear down his mAsTeRpIecIeS…Dreamy),…… He is talkative (But never open his lips unless you start talking and show a friendly attitude to him…Better to speak up otherwise he will bore you with his silence), ………Never have been good at plays (but likes to play cricket…though never liked to watch others’ playing….funny), Pets; he likes Roosters, Ducks and Horses (He never owned a horse),……. Dogs; no way, he got this crazy idea after reading Bokhari’s essay about dogs at class 10th that you never know when dogs stop barking and starts biting…When dogs are on walkways, he walks on streets……. I don’t think that he deserves a whole page of description so better to stop here (Though he claims a whole book is not enough…Let him boast though…………)

Here is my old about me that I replaced,
About me? Aha! It is a place for bragging!!! That’s cool...so let’s start bragging……I think I have put a lot of time and efforts in thinking. Why? I thought…. in a time when the whole world is buzzing on, “Clash of Civilizations”, “Meaninglessness”, “Identity crises”, “Outdating of education”, “economic meltdown”, “ecological crises”, “the emergence of second life” and so on…doing cultural work is the most important casual contributions one can have to “global community”…. (You can call this, “individualistic humanism”)….That is too much for a little head…don’t you think so? ….OK, What are my interest areas?...Well, that is really easy…..Just go through my blogs and help yourself to find out… Wait, didn’t you forget to ask me, where am I living? Hmmm, I guess one place that you can catch me most of the times is Facebook…You are welcome to my “home” (Khudadad Azara)…Please don’t mind as my “home” has just one wall with no roof, floor and all other accessories :)

About me… It is that part of blog where one is expected to express a little bit narcissism … Well, frankly if I expand my chest and beat it, it will sounds hollow but as we are condemned to express narcissism from time to time to prove our loyalty to ourselves (That is called poetry and I love it) so I am going to claim that my blogs are mostly about having dreams… Of course we all dream but dreaming is not the same as having dreams… When one dreams, he/she usually keeps it private but when one has dreams he goes public… Having dreams are one’s clarified desires for a world in becoming… Internet is a truly global world where we synchronize the dreams that we have… My blogs are my efforts to synchronize my little dreams to dreams of humanity… that is part of what I like to call “individualistic humanism”… That is dreamy but dreams are seeds of future cultures…and future sprouts out of them…If you want to catch me in present, you are welcome to my facebook page; Khudadad Azara :)

“Know thyself”… that was the core message of Socrates' rituals. I think as long as “About Me” part of blog is changing on regular basis then it means…one is in the process of learning about “self”… So categorizing oneself is just the matter of time being… By this, I am not saying that self is something mysterious but rather something curious… By the same coin, changes in opinions are a natural process as one gets more information and increase the spheres of his/her knowledge… To make the process of being critical helps a lot… Hope you find my blogs as something curiously written and enjoy reading them… Cheers ;)

Though there are more pages in World Wide Web than in any library but still we feel like that there are tales that have not been told and there are ideas that have not been thought. More important than these are, from one side we are living in a global village and from other side, we see thick walls of misjudgments and mistrusts that need to be pushed down. Personally, I don’t know of any better meditation than writing and I don’t know of any other better way to reach to fellow global villagers… I hope you enjoy visiting my blogs… Cheers :)

“Genetically we remain a single species, but culturally we are worlds apart, comparable to dinosaurs, birds and mammals.” Mark Pagel… Culturally speaking, “Perception is reality”…While acknowledging the importance of preserving and respects for primary cultures, I believe that we need to have a second culture based on thirty articles of Human Rights to bridge the cultural gaps… It seems that Human Rights are taken as something related to UN only while it was aimed to be owned and practiced by every Human being… I consider Human Rights as my second culture and invite all to own it as their second culture…

So for I have learnt that our judgments change as more information pour in but no judgment is going to be perfect. This conclusion makes me to stretch myself to my utmost abilities for having better judgments and yet to be more patient to not hurt anyone by my quick judgments… Writing is a way of sharing information as well as organizing the available information to get a better sense out of them…Cheers :)
